TrustPort offers a line of security utilities--available separately--for Windows machines. Among their current products are:
product submission by Company Rep- TrustPort PC Security, which contains an antivirus program, antispam and antispyware protection, a personal firewall, a data shredding program, a digital signature manager and a tool for the off and online encryption of sensitive information. TrustPort PC Security is compatible with the vendor's TrustPort Management, allowing administrators to manage TrustPort remotely and monitor antivirus activity. TrustPort provides protection to workstations in a network and to individual users. The antivirus module continuously monitors the system and blocks all incoming threats found in E-mails or while using the Internet. Users also have the ability to perform localized or full system scans for the presence of harmful files. Virus identification methods include heuristic analysis and virtual computer processing. - TrustPort Antivirus is an antivirus program designed for the protection of Windows work stations. It is equipped with tools including antispam and antivirus monitoring of incoming post, monitoring of HTTP protocols when surfing the Internet, and protection against spyware. Its detection capabilities are achieved mainly due to the combination of scanning engines from manufactures. - TrustPort WebFilter blocks or allows user access to specific Web pages. It applies White/Black lists (lists of permitted or blocked addresses) and can also be set to allow or prohibit users direct access regardless of the configured filter. The various modes that TrustPort WebFilter can be set to are: Block - if a given URL is listed under Block, then the page is blocked. Permit - if a given URL is listed under Permit, the page is then shown (useful for organizations that want to allow access to only certain domains and have the remaining content blocked). Monitor - the category of visited pages is permanently monitored. Filtration abilities include high level filters (can deny access to individual pages and evaluate the content of URLs as they search parts of a page, or even entire domains); rule based filters (OEM box--these are regularly updated via automatic updates); user defined filters (where it is possible to enter exact domains or URLs that the user wishes to block. The vendor states that this list has been adapted for entering large amounts of data); heuristic filters (analyzes page content, used in cases where none of the above mentioned filters detects anything. Pages, or even entire sites, have their content analyzed and are then categorized. The results are cached for future use, making new analysis unnecessary. Heuristic analysis can be switched on and off separately); time filters (operates with the OEM box, user filter and heuristic filter and sets the activation of WebFilter--i.e., the switching from Active mode to Monitor mode). send info about TrustPort WebFilter Suggest a link for the TrustPort WebFilter fact sheet
